Not sure what size dance floor you need? Use the guide below to estimate the recommended size based on the approximate number of guests dancing at one time.

Up to 30 guests dancing — 12' × 12'

30–50 guests dancing — 15' × 15'

50–70 guests dancing — 18' × 18'

70–90 guests dancing — 21' × 21'

90–120 guests dancing — 24' × 24'

120–160 guests dancing — 27' × 27'

160–200 guests dancing — 30' × 30'

Recommendations are based on the approximate number of guests dancing at one time, not total event attendance.

Tip: For weddings, most couples choose a dance floor sized for approximately 30–50% of their total guest count, as not all guests will be dancing at the same time.
